Ready For The Party!

When you live on the lake, a large party deck is nice to have. For these Clients in particular, having a smaller home made it all the more important to create a large enough deck to accommodate their friends and family. We removed the old wood deck structure and railings to make way for the new layout. The new design gives a lot more deck space across the entire West side of the home and wraps around to the North giving a beautiful view of the lake. We also moved the stair structure to the side which gave a nicer design appeal to the front of the home. The main structure is built with ground contact treated lumber and 6x6 posts with proper frost footings. All treated lumber is covered with Azek composite decking material and facia. The client chose a two-tone decking option layout which turned out fantastic. Coastline Color Azek is the picture frame portion of the decking floor and the field color, or main area is Slate Gray. The same layout was installed on the stairway as well. The entire deck has Cortec hidden fasteners and plugs giving a very sleek and polished look. The railings are a two-part system utilizing the Trex (white) transcend railing system and the Wild Hog Panels in black. The clients chose to have a composite drink rail option for the top of the railing system. This gives guests a nice place to set their beverage or other items. Not only did our clients gain a nice big entertaining area, but also, a full area underneath of the deck for storage of lawn furniture and garden supplies. We installed a large, custom-made door for ease of access of the lawn mower, etc. This under-storage area was finished off with a weed barrier and stone to allow proper drainage and a clean environment. The exterior of the underdeck is all skirted and finished out with an Exterior Portfolio product by Crane. This is a vinyl, board and batten product the color is Slate Gray. Our clients are really pleased with their final project.
